Cricket brownie with maple syrup cream.. You can hear just by the name this is a success. This recipe is enough for a normal brownies baking dish. In total, it contains 80 grams of protein and provides about 8 bits. It can be used as dessert or protein bar!

Ingredients:

about 8 large pieces:

  • 100 grams of peanut butter
  • 50 g of coconut oil
  • 2 eggs (or egg replacement)
  • 2.5 dl sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 dl flour
  • 1 dl Qvicket cricket flour
  • 1 dl maple syrup
  • 1/2 dl cream
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 100 g walnuts

Instructions:

Put your oven on, 175 degrees.

Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy. Add cocoa, whisking gently. Add the flour, baking powder and Qvicket. Add peanut butter and coconut oil. Grease (and sprinkle with crumbs) a form and then pour in the batter. Bake in oven for 20 minutes.

Maple Syrup cream: Whisk together maple syrup and cream in a saucepan. Whisk together the cornstarch and water in a bowl. Heat the maple syrup cream over medium heat and whisk in the dissolved cornstarch. Bring to a boil, and let it simmer for two minutes. The cream thickens. Pour on top of the brownie. Sprinkle crushed or chopped walnuts over the cream, let it cool and enjoy.
